The short version: no account, no cookies, no analytics, no ads, and nothing that says what you pasted or saved.

What the server keeps

• Counters per address, in memory. To stop one visitor from swamping the service, the server counts look-ups per IP address over the last hour and downloads in progress per address. These counters hold no links and are forgotten within the hour, or sooner when the server restarts.
• Recent look-ups, in memory. When a link is read, the result is kept for ten minutes so a second request for the same link doesn’t read the site again. It is stored by link, not by who asked, and is never written to disk.
• Download progress, in memory. While a file downloads, the server counts its bytes under a random number your page made up, so the page can show progress. The count is dropped ten minutes after the download ends.
• Counts, on disk, for 30 days. Per site and day: how many links were read, how many failed on our side, how long reading took and which qualities were saved. Per video that finished saving: how many times it was saved each day, with its title, thumbnail address and page address, so the most-saved videos can be listed on the site. None of it records who asked: no IP address, no time of day, nothing that connects two saves to one person. Videos whose titles suggest hidden cameras, leaks, family members, non-consent or minors are never listed, and a blocked video is dropped from the lists.
• Error logs. The web server keeps no access log. Its error log, kept 14 days, can contain the IP address of a request that failed.

What the page keeps

Nothing. The page stores no cookies and nothing in your browser’s storage. Close the tab and your prints are gone.

The sites you download from

The server fetches pages, thumbnails and videos from the site you name, from its own address. The site sees our server, not you. Your browser loads nothing from those sites while you’re here.

Cloudflare

Pages on porndownloader.org are delivered through Cloudflare, which sees your IP address and the pages you request in order to deliver and protect them. Downloads come from dl.porndownloader.org directly, not through Cloudflare. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for what it keeps.
